Boiana Gjaurova is a cultural manager with a keen interest in curatorial and editorial work. She graduated in Cinema studies and art history in Cologne, Germany after that she returned to Bulgaria and started working at Edno magazine. Later, she took over the magazine as editor-in-chief and was the main driving force behind the book "Bulgarian New Wave".

After several years of working on the ONE DESIGN WEEK festival in 2015, together with Adriana Andreeva, they launched Studio Komplekt - a cultural management organization with a focus on design. One of their main projects is Melba - Design Initiatives with a dynamic online archive, an international annual design festival.
